Shoe/Sneaker Leather edition

Here is the leather edition of my latest personal project.
Modeled in ZBrush and rendered with KeyShot 2023 :slightly_smiling_face:

Awesome again! Did you use a leather texture or a procedural texture like some leathers included in the material library of KS?

Thank you, I am really glad you like it.
I used a free texture from Poly Haven.

Dang, Herman, that leather is sweet! I was about ready to touch the screen to feel the texture. it would be fun to see a “vintage” or “worn-in” leather texture too! You could use 3D paint to add some scuffs and patina, if you felt like playing with it some more. But it’s gorgeous as is.

These came out looking awesome! Nice modeling. That’s a great looking leather texture you found too. I might need to give it a try in my end for a few projects.

@ziv.shefer Thank you, I am glad you like it :slightly_smiling_face:
@melissa.henley Thank you, yes it turned out pretty nice in the end. While working on it solo it’s pretty hard to judge the quality after a while and the final look was a last minute change. I had ideas about doing a “vintage” and use 3D paint on a next version. Who knows, maybe that is my next project
@karim.merchant Thank you, I am glad you like it. Yes that bump and that gloss texture works good. I felt a bit limited with only “free” textures and was about to start looking to see what I could buy to get the right textures but I managed to get that one to work pretty well :slightly_smiling_face:

Wow, congrats on that shoe - it looks amazing, well done!
Especially the shoe-flap at the end with its fuzzy hairs.

One thing I would change: uv unwrap the textured white rubber sole to get an evenly spread bump

Thank you for the nice feedback. And yes I should have fixed the uv, it was on my “I will fix that in the end” list but I went with “it could be an effect from the manufacturing process” :slightly_smiling_face:
